Featuring six tracks in Portuguese and Spanish, canção para o caminho marks the official beginning of una sofía's journey as a songwriter, bringing together a sonic exploration spanning Latin folk, MPB, and indie pop, with influences from Latin American folklore and jazz. Musically, the EP embraces and organic, and intimate sound, featuring live-recorded instruments and arrangements centered on the song itself.

 

It is a portrait of displacement, both geographical and internal. It speaks about movement, like a coming-of-age story in musical form, bringing together the Colombian and Brazilian roots that are growing within.

The project brings together mostly Brazilian musicians alongside Latin American collaborators, including Cuban pianist Pepe Cisneros, featured on “confesiones,” and Peruvian violinist Paolo Valdivia, on “só eu sei.” The latter track also features singer Nina Nicolaiewsky.

The duality between languages is central to the EP’s concept. With three songs in each language, the project brings neighboring cultures into closer conversation. ​
